In March 2025, our family’s journey to Taiwan brought us the most beautiful gift — our daughter, Isla. We spent our first few days together in Taipei, getting to know each other and exploring the city. We visited parks, the aquarium, and even made a trip to the iconic Taipei 101. From the very beginning, Isla’s bright curiosity and joyful energy made every moment unforgettable.
When we returned home to Canada, Isla embraced her new surroundings. She experienced snow for the first time and absolutely loved it. As summer arrived, she continued to thrive outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and exploring Calgary’s many parks and trails.
Over the past months, Isla has met many new friends and adjusted wonderfully to her new life. She especially loved attending community events and festivals — the Calgary Stampede was a highlight, full of laughter and memories.
In September, Isla started Grade 1, stepping into school life with her usual confidence and curiosity. She’s made friends across all grades, and her teachers describe her as cheerful, kind, and eager to learn.
One of our most memorable family experiences was taking Isla on her first cruise trip, where she delighted in every new sight, including spotting dolphins from the room.
Watching Isla grow, adapt, and flourish has been such a joy. Her openness, warmth, and adventurous spirit have brightened our lives in countless ways, and we’re deeply grateful to see her blossom in our forever home.
