Waiting Families
Hi! We’re Melissa and Emily. We’ve been married since 2021 and we’re hoping to promote ourselves from “fun aunties” to “parents” and adopt our new favourite person. We live on a quiet corner street with the kind of neighbours who trade baked goods and look out for one another, and only a quick walk to Grandma and Grampie’s house. Our backyard leads to trails, playgrounds and protected green space. Our home is cozy, welcoming and currently supervised by our dog Honey and our cat Theo.
Life with us includes family dinners, cozy nights in, car sing-alongs, camping trips and travel whenever we can fit it in. Melissa loves sports, being outdoors, camping and deep diving into whatever she’s currently interested in. Emily enjoys baking, cooking, reading, camping and staying active outdoors. We both love our careers but we are big believers in balance, laughter and showing up for each other every day.
Originally from the Maritimes, we can’t wait to bring a child into our family, traveling back to the east coast to have sandy toes and salty air in their hair. We’ve got the love, the space, and the snacks – now we’re just missing one little person to level up the adventures, the everyday moments, and everything in between.
